SQL Database backup - append, overwrite or new file?

Thanks guys. I'd probably just be doing it through SQL management studio at the moment, but will start using more script once I understand the process better, so code is useful.

SQL Database backup - append, overwrite or new file?

Thanks SQLScholar from what I know I'm inclined to agree with you. I'd rather have different backup in separate files so you can delete old ones etc. As I mentioned above I had a bit of trouble when trying to make a new backup file but I'll look into this further. In the meantime, any other...

SQL Database backup - append, overwrite or new file?

Hi, I am in the process of working out a backup strategy for an SQL database that uses the full recovery model and also looking for a better general understanding that I would be able to apply to future databases. I had thought that the problem was...

Update an excel VBA userform from MS Access VBA

OK, there's lots of ways I will use this code once I get it working. But to give an example, the excel file that is open is called "pivot control.xls". Within this, there is a loaded userform called "dk", with a textbox called "txtname". From a module in my Access file I want to be able to...

Update an excel VBA userform from MS Access VBA

Hi, Thanks for this, although it doesn't seem to work. If I'm in Excel VBA and have the userform open it does. But with Access VBA I don't think it's recognising 'userform1' as an excel userform. I need some way of pointing MS Access to the userform in the MS excel file.
