spanning tree is not the problem, cause now all works fine with a bintec in any vlan
so i think the problem was the bintec in cooperaton with a version earlier 2.1.4
NOW EVERYTHING IS OK
We have found out, that if we have a BINTEC-Router in a VLAN, that is not the Default, there are Broadcast-Storms and the CPU is up to 100%
we did the bintec in the default VLAN , then all is OK
now we have Version 2.1.4 since june 2002 and the bintec works fine in all VLANs
hello,
in all documentation there is a feature called multiple IP adress on IP Interface.
is is the same as a secondary IP address ??

are there any bugs?
i have read the release notes and it sounds quite good
Thanks for infos
the accelar stuck
this construct works fine for about 1 year
in the last 4 months, there are several W2k- Rollouts
Are there any known bugs with W2k and acelar ??
I have Accelar 1200 configured with 8 IP-Policy and 8 IPX-Policy Vlans running Version 2.0.7.5
Effect was, that every 4 weeks the Accelar CPU rises up to 100%, the only chance was a reboot.
After Upgrade on Version 2.1.4 this effect is now every week
Thanks
you have to configure static access ports, cause port security is only supported on static access ports
like that:
int f0/1
switchport mode access
switchport port-security
and then switchport port-security maximum 1 for only 1 MAC/by port or anything else
i know this problem,
i did it with an SNMP timeout of 30 sec in DeviceManager properties
default is 5 sec, and this is in a heavy used LAN to short
try it
best wishes
I have a big problem,
i have a lot of 3Com Etherlink XL900B-FL-(ST) NICs ( 10BaseFL)
i connect them to an 24 Port Cisco 10BaseFL Switching module
now my problem
if i am connected with halfduplex, all is OK
if i am connected with fullduplex, a filetransfer is 3 times SLOWER than with...
Hi,
Bay450 prio 8000 is the same as 8600 prio 32768
8000 in hex = 32768
so root bridge is the one with the lower MAC-Address
in order to have the 8600 as a root bridge, configure the 8600 with a prio of 32000
so all is OK
