Thanks for the tip. The devfsadm command was what I needed. I had to use the 'evfsadm -C'form. The 'tapes' option was unrecognized. The '-C' option ran and created the appropriate tape device entries. Thanks again for the assistance.

Anyone know how to add an Exabyte 8mm SCSI tape drive to a Solaris 2.8 installation on a SparcStation 5? The tape drive was added after the initial install and I am not sure how to create the rmt devices in the dev directory for it. Thanks in advance.
