Hi Network Andy. You need 2 of 3 drives in order to get all your data back. If you had a 5 disk RAID-5 you'd need 4 of 5. Basically RAID-5 buys you the ability to lose 1 drive, not 2. If you want your data back you'll need to go to someplace like ontrack, actionfront, gillware or...- pythonmaster

There really isn't any decent off-the-shelf software recovery tools for these file-systems that'd I've found. You're probably going to be stuck going after a in-lab solution would be my guess. Failed Raid 5
comtec17 is correct. With RAID-5 systems it's possible to rebuild the entire array using any 2 of 3 drives. With only 1 there's no chance of getting any useful data, regardless of stripe-size. There's a bunch of data recovery companies out there who can handle the job. Make sure however...- pythonmaster
