Help i have this above error when dialup up a windows nt pdc and bdc.
But if i try to access the servers on the lan it works fine.
I can dial into a windows 2000 server fine also.
i am doing this from a windows 2000 machine using a dialup (not vpn) service.
please help.

i have some printers setup on a win2k server machine.
setup as tcpip ports.
they are shared so others win2kpro users can use them (so this makes this a print server).
this works fine, apart from some users who need to print out in dos.

I am from a company that has merged with another company we both have windows 2000 active directory setup on two different domains.
i have setup a trusted link between the two which works fine (but this is not transitive), but i have a problem within the active directory users and groups...
thanks for the help, but i have made sure the service is enabled and is set for automatic but still it gives me this error.
As regards to accounts well it won't start on any user accounts, and no password has been set.
From sevices, the service is disabled and cannot start.
been to check to make sure that this serice is enabled and it is.
why is it coming up with this error ?
DOes anyone know how to Embed graphics onto Forms created in Outlook, so when a email goes outside the Building the graphics are still there on the Template form

Is there a way of disabling web sites from users.
I have tried using restricted web sites from the internet options and found that a user can still see the site.
Is there a way of setting up powerpoint so that every chart you make on a presentation is the same ?
i.e setting up a default chart type
as when you manually setup a chart and run through the presentation they are all over the place.

i have tried using the ascii charcters in dos maode and still no joy.
i have printed a ascii charcter sheet to use from.
the folders in dos mode are displayed the same as in windows explorer.
ok i have booted into safe mode and still canot delete the folder (the same error message apears).
i have tried going into the folder using the alt key and the the num lock keypad.

this is not a virus (i think, i have run virus's software).
the directory has spaces and ~~ , which i have tried the alt 255 sequence but still no joy, i get the error "the system carn't find the file specified"

I had the setting's in explorer already.
i could not rename the folder, i recvied an error message "Cannot read from source disk"
There is no security tab on to folder.
in dos mode dir /q does not display who owns the folder.
when i try to delete...
i have already viewed the folders in dos mode and as i said these folders are not on the c drive when you do to delete them.
but if you ran a directory listing on the c drive you can see they are there.
they where put there by a hacker that cracked into a ftp site. now i can not get rid of the...
and made a couple of folders , which i canot get rid of.

i am trying to setup remote installation services and i have installed i think all the components and made a boot disk.
Now when i boot the client of a boot disk i get the messege UNDI Initialize Failure error 1.
