...The few times when the licenses were invalid, the 1st thing I checked everytime the vmpro goes does was confirming if the dongle was being read *red icon* and also if the the services were running.
I just wanted to know for future reference re: the issue, but for now, I just went ahead and...
The frequency of the issue increased to the point where I just needed to resolve the issue. I put a log between the 2 and packets never dropped the entire time but suffice to say....it went down.
I recall someone stating the timeout value is like 4 hrs, and then the IPO would drop but this...
In my case, it's parallel dongle on the same box as VM PRO server. Services are consistently running and no issues in the event log.
From the IPO hardware standpoint, what triggers the licenses to go invalid. Is there a specific timeout-time from the time the IPO does not see the keyserver...

Just checking in
So a standard 9-25 pin serial adapter won't work ?
I have to hang a 9-25 serial modem cable off the 403 to the dongle ?
thx

The VMPROSERVER is the same server running the License Server.
Same setup running 2.53 did not exhibit these issues.
Only coincidentally, after 3.2 did the invalid license issue crop up.
I may swap the NIC configuration tomorrow on the box running VMPRO/License Server and see how...
License server is running on same box as vmpro which is on the same subnet as network.
The issue is weird cause when I plug the IPO directly into the PC itself and ping to the IPO, I cannot ping to it. Checked and confirmed NIC drivers are up to date.
Same setup - different PC. Plug IPO into...
IPO is currently on the same IP subnet as the rest of the LAN.
I would have to change the IP of the IPO 1st and then put the second NIC as the same IP subnet as the IPO.
I actually put a phone call in and awaiting callback. The person I spoke with just had one of the peers come back from...
...have them running the licenses.
What causes the licenses to go invalid.
As per what I was told, if the IPO does not see the license server for a *milli-second*, it will drop the licenses and not continue looking for it. I am pretty confident on the network connectivity and don't suspect...
I will try your suggestion on moving the license key server to another box. It's set for the correct static under system and the issue really only cropped up since the upgrade.
What's involved in converting from a parallel dongle to a serial. We have a 403. After upgrading to 2.53 to 3.2 55 we have had some various issues - mainly ironed out.
Occasionally for whatever reason it is, the system sees the licenses as invalid. The vmpro services are running, etc. We...
Running 3.2.55
If I have VM disabled on the extension, I am still able to get to the voicemail box if the reception has done a direct to VM......in this particular case, it has been misdirected to phones with VM disabled. Is there inherent in the programming or is there a way to ovveride this...

I was looking for a third angle and that should do the trick !
The loopback took the alert off/link up so the T1 Crossover Patch Cord is something that was not on my radar !
thx!
Has anyone had any issues with Cisco VWICS and the IPO PRI card. 406V2, 3.2.55.
When I plug a T1 loopback into the VWIC, the amber alert light goes out, and I get a link light.
The vendor has confirmed everything is up on the IAD (Cisco 1700), interface is up, etc.
Switch, protocols, etc on...
I looked at the FAQ and was looking at the DTE info.
Is there a way I can find out the IP address of a IPO just short of resetting it via ATX commands.
Finally got into the damm IPO, set it for a static, saved and reboot but I'm not seeing it on my 10.100.X network.....
IPO running 3.55
Reset to default under Manager.
It went into DHCP mode. Found it and have attempted to log in....via default pw of Administrator / Administrator.
It's not taking it. Any advise..just short of DTE.
- Would anyone know if the specs (EC) on the IP500 modules are the same or better than the *rev 2* VCM modules on the Ip400 series
-IP400/IP500
On the 400series, remote endpoints, remote phones, etc did not require any addition licenses. I recall that on the 500 series/IP500 VCM, just short of...
We upgraded from 2.5 to 3.2.55
We don't have AA or overflow coverage and that is just a company preferred thing.
Previously, any inbound caller past apppearance once wold give a audible tone every couple of seconds in the headset when a incoming call came in.
Now, in 3.2.55, it does not do...
I recall a config mod for the phones to edit them so they turn off after a specified period and wake up when in use. Would anyone happen to have this thread/tip bookmarked ?
I can't seem to find it via the search engine.
