I would be interested in knowing how to fool the printer thinking it is loaded with color sticks this. I have by now bought a color laser printer to use as a primary printer...
Thanks ifixprinters.
You write "you could load everything with black sticks, but you'd be signing a death warrant for the thing".
Please clarify: does this mean that the printer won't work at all after this, not printing even B&W? Or won't it be able to print color any more in its printer life...
I have asked this before... no replies. Is there really no technician here who has some experience or knowledge of this? Or maybe everyone fainted...
I print color quite seldom with this printer. Due to this, the permanently heated ink has lead to badly distorted colors. (It was simply the wrong...
I haven't printed color very often with this printer. Since it is turned on 24 hours a day, probably the color-cooking has lead to badly distorted colors.
As the colors hardly are colors any more, and since total color cost, including cleaning, is horrible for this printer I will probably buy...
I don't print color very often with this printer, and since it is turned on 24 hours a day the color-cooking has lead to badly distorted colors. That was something which Xerox "forgot" to mention before I bought the printer :-(
(Luckily I bought it as "reconditioned" from Xerox to a low...

On http://www.hastec.nl/support/onstream/support/index.html there are links to Echo 1Safe 3.7.02 compatible with Windows XP - but the form is forwarded to Onstream, which is nonexisting now.
Does...

I never turn the printer off, but have also been thinking backing the printer up with an UPS. Two issues:
1) How much power does the...
That is correct - the 2 black "lift pins" do get worn out after a while. Stupid construction - should be made of metal of course. BUT you don't have to replace the whole maintenance drawer. When this happened to me, a technician adviced me to attach simple plastic strips, usually used...
No, I have not got any responses (but yours) on this problem. The symptoms are about the same as before: in duplex mode, it works most of the time, but now and then (especially in the beginning of a job), a few sheets jam.
Did the sanding of the clutch resolve your jam problem completely?

My 840DP (22000 printouts) have begun to jam prints when printing doublesided. Often it happens after 30-40 pages. It prints first page of the sheet Ok, but the sheet got stuck in the upper exit when sheet has pulled back 2/3 length.
I remove the sheet, it jams again, after 3-4 jams it mostly...
