It sounds like when you touch it you are becomming ground are you one of those who bust the ground pin off your power cable to get it to fit in a old wall outlet that means most likely your case is holding a charge which could be very dangerous on components but I think if it was doing that you...
actually it depends as much on the mobo as it does on the OS I have two cards in this one onboard intel peice that I don't use and a voodoo banshee. If I felt the extreme need to use the intel thing I could at any given time infact even in unison with my pci card. my other mobo if you have two...
Do you get any beeps besides the one that means cleared past post. Make sure you are using the case switch instead of the psu switch. the psu switch turns of the psu the power button turns on the mobo. Fans some boards it matters and some boards it doesn't I have all mine going right to the psu...
I had no problems getting the hard drive to show up in post or with the way I connected things my hd was shot. If you had been intelligent enough to read the post right before yours you would have known that I already bought a new HD and it is running right next to where I am sitting right now...

My toshiba Tecra just has a slide over faceplate with the led's and stuff right on the front and then you can pull the drive out from there without takeing out one screw!!!
It only has master cs and parkI have no Idea what park is supposed to be and it doesn't recognize the drive in this mode. I just tried the cables I'm using now and it didn't seem to help. I'm kind of wondering if it's the 3.5 drive or something. I dunno, It reads from A: like it's supposed to on...
Just the cd-rom is on cs even if I just disconnect the cd-rom I get the same thing. I've changed the jumpers on the hd quite a bit something I don't understand though is why the diagram for the hd jumper settings has 3 sets of pins (6 pins) and the back of my drive has 9 pins?? I may have tried...
I think I said I tried that. Well anyways I tried that and got the same results. I think I am going to end up getting a new HD or a cheap used one and if there is problems I can always take it back and if that isn't the problem everyone can use an extra hd.
