Excel Formula Needed For Matching data from two worksheets

Have you tried a look up table? Essentially what a look up table does is say "match this record with the product ID on the vendors worksheet and return to me the value in colum X (price value)". Search the function list for Vlookup (vertical lookup) and it should walk you through it.

    Formula to insert lines

We have an imported document that we will be bringing into Excel which has 3000+ lines of data. We want to insert a blank line after each line of data and would like to use a formula to do it instead of manually inserting lines. If we have to we can record a macro the first time we do this but...

    Cross Tab remove detail question

Am new to Crystal and working with 8.5. I have used the Wizard to create a cross tab report. I have 3 summary columns at the bottom of my cross tab - 1 sums the data, 1 counts the data and the last shows the average. I have included all of them in my Summary section. Two of the three...

I'm kind of a novice at Excel and not sure if I understand the question correctly - but if you press Ctr+~ (tilda key) you will see the contents of each cell including calculations and linked cells.

Worried about identity theft - protecting files

I taught my Mom how to use the computer and specifically Excel this last weekend. She is paranoid by the thought of identity theft. (I think it's a real threat but she doen't have internet service so I'm not sure how real the threat is to her computer.) She had me add a password for herself and...
