    There is a bug in the scanner command. Legato support told us to use nsrck -L7 -t date clientname. This worked great for us! Do a man page on nsrck.

    Volumes not expiring

    See if any of your savesets have a status of "abort". When a backup fails and aborts, the tape will have to manually recycled. We have this problem all of the time. It seems to have gotten a little better when we upgrade to Legato 6.1.3

    Your problem is definately due to the speed settings on your NIC and your switch port. HP NIC's do not work well set to Auto.     some save_sets cannot recycle automatically

    We have the same problem and cannot find the solution. About once a month I manually check all of our tape volumes and recycle those that should have already done so.
