If the daemon is a program which has to be started at
boot, create a start/stop script and place it in /etc/rc3.d
If it is just a service; /etc/services (port info),
/etc/xinetd.conf (service monitor), and where ever you
installed the program.
When in doubt, disconnect both the monitor and keyboard.
The Server (Ultra 5/10/netra/vxx/e450) will default to
move the console to the serial port. I then connect
via hyperterm to the port (9600,8,n,1). I suspect you
will see the OK prompt. Try to fix it from there.
1. perform a prtvtoc on both disks. You will probably see
a difference in partition sizes.
2. Is /NEWMEPAW a mounted file system or just a directory?
If so, you / may not be big enough.
Thanks. I've used VFP in the past. A few years ago I moved
into Sybase SQL Anywhere under unix and developed data apps
using PHP under Apache. But now I need to move back to VFP
(7.0). I'm rusty.
I am unable to get an update via odbc to work properly in VFP (an insert works fine). So what I had...

1. Buy a second disk drive and install it.
2. Partition the second drive according to...
1. Don't worry about it. If the file system is NOT clean or stable you will not boot to multiuser mode.
2. Sendmail relies on a properly functioning DNS and hostname configuration. If you have upgraded, e.g. installed Sendmail from a local build, your DNS may not
be exactly correct. For a try...
You have two issues. I can answer one now. I will have
to look into the second issue later.
1. If your mirror is broken, your system would not have booted properly; e.g. you your system would have booted with disk errors and the console prompt indicating you needed to run fsck manually for fix...
I'm using VFP 7.0 to access a Sybase SQL Anywhere 8.0.2 database via ODBC (remote views). I have to use an sql insert command to add records. But when using either an update statement on a button click, or by modifying data
in a grid, the update does not occur? The view is set to update all. Any...
