Im still not clear as to whether its c:\windows\temp or temp internet files. As the former seems to be taken care of, just to cover all bases, here is for the latter. Tools>properties>settings>view files>edit>select all>file>delete.

Are you running an anti-virus? Norton tends to cause this also. If so, set it to manual update.

Try booting into safemode and running defrag from there. It usually encounters fewer problems and does a better job. Sorry, missed the last post.
