I have to come up with a way of changing the permissions for the following reg key from the command line so I can roll it out to lots of machines running XP Pro.
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\MSLicensing
I have to give users full control where the default is read only.
I have came across subinacl...
I have deployed citix via TNG but when connecting to a 3rd party Citrix Server it only works when logged in as administrator. As a user it keeps trying to install Citrix. When I take of the TNG package and install the client directly onto a machine it works fine. Any ideas why this is happening.
Does anyone know of a way to uninstall windows patches via the command line.
I've got a number of patches to deploy and there aren't any uninstall switches provided. Need to be able to uninstall in case of probs and will be deploying to multiple machines.
Cheers

Cheers Dave, I'm having a look at this tool.
I've found the 2 reg keys that are affected by this change so I'll be looking at creating a .adm file and using it through Active Directory instead of using a 3rd party tool.
Appreciate the help though.

Does anyone know a setting in Active Directory GPO which will allow me to change the colour properties for desktops from 32Bit Colour to 16Bit Colour
I need to change a number of machines and need to do it via AD. Not sure if I need to create an ADM file for this and if it's possible.
Cheers

Just had a look, doesn't look like it'll do the job. This is going to be for normal users. Need to sign the software for release. A quick look at the above is to sign code for download. Will keep on looking. Cheers though. Hoping to be able to create an adm file to link to the cd.
Does anyone know of a decent bit of software that can be used to digitally sign cd's.
I need to roll out a number of trg cd's to different sites but currently don't allow access to the cd drive. Looking for a way to digitally sign them so I can allow them to run through Active Directory.
