Have a server with 2003 on it. Use it as a proxy server for all my workstations ( running Win 2000 ) to access the internet. Which they all can.
Problem is that I cannot get Ad-Aware or Spybot to be able to look for and/or download any updates. Both have a place to setup for and allow the use...
All workstations have a static ip address.
Not sure about the statement "pushed thru ad" but I would have to say that they fall under "shared printers".
I have setup the printers on the 2000 server and then at each xp workstation I "connect" to the needed printer on the server. One of the...
Running server 2000 and have a problem where my default printer changes, happens almost every day.
Have a small network with 12 workstations running xp. All but one printer is networked using print spoolers. One printer is slaved off of one of my workstations, it is a label printer.

The drive as well as the whole server is being replaced soon, I just need a few more weeks.
Thanks again!
Getting messages that I have two "BAD" spots on my hard drive, it identifies both spots.
I'm guessing that there is a command or utility that will allow me to flag these sectors as bad so they will not be accessed again.
It is an old server vintage 1996 and is runnig SCO UNIX...
