Well i bought them from a local retail store.I've use nero info tool to run a check on my drive and it got me thinking that could it be possble that sony ddu 1621 can't read double layer dvd disc.With single layer its find but with my other disc which are double layered this problem came up.

Yeah the modem is configure correctly.The unknown device extension is under the other devices tab and not appended to the modem.Maybe it is missing a driver file or something that it needs to work.All settings are normal and i did not change any of it.
