    Macola Progression

Can anyone tell me the status of this product? Will there be any updates or development beyond 7.8.500 or will there be a push to move to another product such as Macola 10?

Macola Progression in a Virtual Environment ?

What do Exact say? "Sorry we don't support Macola in a virtual environment"?

Macola Progression in a Virtual Environment ?

The following from vmware.com Microsoft officially supports VMware ESX for running Microsoft Windows and major applications including Microsoft Exchange, SQL Server, and SharePoint Server. VMware ESX was the first hypervisor to be validated under the Microsoft Virtualization Validation Program...

Macola Progression in a Virtual Environment ?

Thanks for the response Don. I was sure that many people would indeed be running Macola on Virtual Machines. The "official" response that I got was that it "theoretically should work but was not supported at this time" - a sort of a get out of jail free answer . Thanks again for taking the...

Macola Progression in a Virtual Environment ?

My understanding is that Progression is currently NOT supported in a virtual environment and furthermore there is no time frame as to when it will be supported. Be that as it may is anyone out there running Macola Progression on a Vitual Server? If so what are the problems / challenges (if any)?

    Progression 7.7.100

I've got to say that I am very surpirsed that anyone would complain that a stated "minimum" hardware requirement was a problem because it was outdated. It is after all a MINIMUM specification therefore anything "newer or faster", for want of a better description, would be by default, adequate...

    Progression 7.7.100

I cannot confirm that 7.7.100 will run on a desktop with less than 1Gb RAM (as I am not using 7.7.100). We are running Progression 7.7 with Flex 7.6.400 It runs just fine and we don't see any benefit in updating either Macola to 7.7.100 or Flex to 7.7 at this point in time. Obvioulsy...

    Progression 7.7 with Flex 7.6.400

We have just upgraded (never mind why [neutral]) to Macola Progression version 7.7 We had been led to believe that Flexibility 7.7 would also be available but were not all that concerned when it wasn't as apparently Flexibility 7.6.400 would work just fine. We are now finding that screens that...

    Curreny Rate use in Invoicing

I believe it's a bug that has been fixed in Progression 7.7 Bug Report - 22.375.095 With Currency Manager Setup set to Determine OE Rates by Invoice Date, the curr_trx_rt is updated when the invoice is posted unless the invoice is for a backorder. With the backorder, it is not updating the...

    login error beep

Can I ask what version of Macola and what Version of Flex you are installing please? Is the install being done under an administrator account login? Finally apart from the "beep" does Macola function as expected? (By the way - It's not necessary to reboot in-between installing the Progression...

    ERS - What's the deal?

    ERS - What's the deal?

FYI - I downloaded an ERS.pdf from the web. It's still being promoted as: ERS 7.6 VIRTUALLY UNLIMITED REPORTING DEPTH AND DETAIL ARE ONLY A FEW CLICKS AWAY WITH EXACT SOFTWARE NORTH AMERICA’S ENTERPRISE REPORTING SYSTEM (ERS), A POWERFUL CLIENT/SERVER SQL-BASED REPORTBUILDER AND INFORMATION...

    ERS - What's the deal?

Well I'm an Aussie, but the jury is still out on Andrew even though he sits at the desk next to mine. No - Only kidding, we are both Aussies, but Andrew is a Pommy when England win something, which isn't often. I shan't mention any names - he was here a few weeks back but has gone MIA.

    ERS - What's the deal?

I believe he is talking about Flexibility 7.6.400 which installs ERS 76.400 build 2(note the period is in the right place). Flexibility 7.7 has not been released (to my knowledge). I have asked our reseller but haven't heard back from him.

    ERS - What's the deal?

Thanks for your response. I'll ask our Analyst / Programmer to respond to that one.

    ERS - What's the deal?

We have many applications written using ERS. Many are merely front-ends for report production. Others are complete applications. Some years ago (when we were using Macola Progression 7.5.103f) we were told that the ERS lifecycle was finished and that Exact would no longer support it. We have...

    Macola Progresion Version 7.7

Flexibility 7.6.400 works with Macola Progression 7.7 however my understanding is that it will not function on clients with a Vista OS until Flexibility 7.7 is released - whenever that is.

    Macola Progresion Version 7.7

Flexibility for Macola 7.7 is not released yet. Don, do you have any idea if the exiting (available) versions will work with version 7.7? Thanks,
