mp6 for windows was a complete installation. You no longer needed to do the base installation.
If memory serves me correct, and it was a long while ago. You had to install MP6, before 7 & 8.
Also i seem to remember bad memories of lots of bpbkar32.exe hanging around this sorta...
by default its the local systems account. you should be able to look in the services/netbackup client properties, as for some of the agents its possible its been changed.
Just to agree on the above...
I've experience of netbackup with a variety of unix. Mainly solaris and aix, currently. And have had no real problems over the last few years.
Not to sure what info your looking for. But the following will give you a brief ( drop the -b for more info ) view of the tapes in the scratch_pool ( in this example ). You can obviously change that pool name as you see fit.
