Switch stacking with 3750s with 3750Xs

I currently have a stack of 3750 switches. All have the same advancedipservices IOS. I want to add a couple of new 3750Xs. The new 3750Xs have an IOS with 'universal' in the name. From what I understand, the 'universal' IOS image contains all of the feature sets, but only the feature sets of the...

    show ip route

When I do a show run I don't see any line that has 10.101.1.51 in it. Any suggestions on where else to look?

ISPKing, What do you mean check the interface assignments?

    show ip route

It is definitely using those two other routes. I just don't now where it gets the routes from. I'm sure it's statically defined, I just don't know where.

    show ip route

I have a Cisco WS-C3750-24TS switch that has some routes in it but I can't figure out where the routes came from. This is the output from a show ip route: switch2#show ip route Default gateway is 10.2.2.6 Host Gateway Last Use Total Uses Interface 10.101.1.51...

    Simple question

You can do whatever you choose with the ports. They're just ethernet ports.

    SNMP trap-source for INFORMS

Bump. So here's what got it to work. I removed all of the snmp-server commands and then only entered these commands: snmp-server source-interface informs Loopback0 snmp-server enable traps snmp linkup snmp-server host 10.10.10.10 inform version 2c public With this configuration my management...

    Sh config partial output

Sounds like something is limiting the number of lines you're receiving as output. I think maybe when you hit Enter on your keyboard there is another key being pressed. Try it from a different computer.

    Sh config partial output

Does it exhibit this behavior through console and vty?

    Sh config partial output

I've never experienced this problem before. I tried googling it but couldn't find a similar problem. If you do find out what's causing that please share it with us.

    SNMP trap-source for INFORMS

I'm not trying to monitor lo0, I'm trying to monitor when Async1 comes up. I just want the source-interface reported by the trap as lo0. The command snmp-server source-interface informs Loopback0 should do it but when I receive the trap the source-interface shows the ip address of FA0. The...

    SNMP trap-source for INFORMS

Turns out the new command for this is snmp-server source-interface informs Loopback0. It still doesn't work though, its still reporting the source interface as FastEthernet0 instead of LoopBack0. I've tried reapplying the commands, reloading the router ... still no luck.

    SNMP trap-source for INFORMS

I've been using SNMP traps to monitor when an interface on my routers comes up. Now I want to change from using TRAPS to INFORMs messages. When I change the configuration to use INFORMs I get the messages at my SNMP Manager but the trap-source is no longer the interface I specified. Here was...

I believe you need to set the privilege level to 15. Take a look at this link: http://www.xs4all.nl/~hermanb/cisco-ias.htm

    Run new IOS without restart

The scheduled reload was the first thing that came to mind. We even use ntp. Unfortunately, my boss is not comfortable with that idea. We've decided to load the IOS on roughly 100 routers shortly before close of business. After close of business while someone is still on site, reload all...

    Run new IOS without restart

That's what I was afraid of. Reloading routers in the wee hours of the morning it shall be then.
