it was my sound card... there is something conflicting between it and my onboard the motherboard came with... if i start up computer with card in, it freezes... so right now im running off of on board sound :(... but alteast its sound- LinkinPrk1981

here is a small update... i grabbed... 98SE disk and so far so good.. it starts up to the desktop... grated i unplugged my other HD since it is my 80 gig with all my real data on that is NTFS format and well that wont work with 98 and no way am i formatting it... anywho im guessing now that it...- LinkinPrk1981

win 2k Setup locking up
Here is the situation. I was running a Dell Dimension 750XPT or something like that and for this x-mas i bought myself new stuff, case, motherboard, processor, and all that jazz... well i put it all in the new case, i kept my HD's CD-roms, video card (Nvidia GeForce 3 Ti 200)... good news is...- LinkinPrk1981
