Shared Calendar problems after migrating to new server

We've put SP2 on. Found the solution to this. Turns out the reason the calendar wouldn't open was because it was still linking back to the old server. If the user opens the calendar from fresh, it opens fine. Thanks anyway

Upgrade from Standard to Enterprise Problems

Thanks for that. Is there anything I should be concerned about when running forestprep or domainprep. I have an understanding of what these processes do, and have tested what you said on a test network (with no problems), but just wondered if there was anything else I should be careful of. Thanks

Upgrade Exchange 2k Standard to 2k Enterprise

I did realise that I would need the Enterprise CD, but I agree people do come out with some classics. Someone asked me not long ago to have a look at their computer because they were having trouble installing Office XP. I had a look and they were using a Windows XP cd. When I pointed this out...

Upgrade Exchange 2k Standard to 2k Enterprise

We're nearly up to our 16GB limit on both our two Exchange 2k Standard servers. We have one in Manchester and one in London, connected via our WAN. As an interim measure I'm looking at upgrading them both to Exchange 2k Enterprise. In the longer term I will go up to Exchange 2k3, but thats not...

Outlook 2000 Spellcheck and pc hangs

I've tried looking through this forum for this answer, and although many people report similar problems, I can't quite find the answer to my own. We have a few users, with Outlook 2000 on Windows XP SP1.After they have typed a longish email and press send, it begins the spellcheck and then...

    What are your backup routines??

Can I just add to this - and at the same time ask my own question. We have a similar situation, backups take too long. Currently we back up the whole store, the individual mailboxes and the priv1.edb database file (which is 10GB on its own) My question is, do I really need to back up the edb...

    One Way Replication

They are, however I've just checked with another administrator here regarding the frequency of replication. It turns out it was only set to go overnight, no wonder I'm not seeing anything. I just forced another replication and it worked. Sorry to waste your time. Thanks

    One Way Replication

Can anyone help? I have two sites with a DC in each, and a manually created replication connector between them. If I make a change on server A, it is replicated to server B at next replication. However if I make a change on Server B, it does not get replicated to Server A. I thought...

IE Group Policy Settings only work for Domain Admins

Please help. I've created a gpo that customizes some ie settings in my single domain. The gpo allies to all users. If I log in to a client computer as a member of domain admins, I get no problems, my settings apply. But if I log in as an ordinary user, the gpo settings are applied once, but if...
