I am not at my PC w/the project now, but an update- I have (with everyones' help) gotten by the error generated by the save button.. But (as I was leaving) now I have a few fields not being written to the table holding the new data. I will try the last suggestions in AM and advise. Thanks!
Just...
This should be all the code for the save button. Note that I played with it and instead of a button with the text “object required” appearing, now when the save button is clicked it generates the error msg “You Need to Fix Your Code” and that is as far as it goes. I replaced any identifying info...
I thank everyone for your help. I realize I didn't provide much to work with, but you were willing to help anyway! My intuition tells me I shouldn't post any part of the code and I don't want to waste anyone time! Thanks again!!
I **trully** appreciate the offer to look @ the code. I am not sure (my intuition tells me no) that I am allowed to do that (employer may not appreciate)
Don't want you spinning your wheels but if it helps perhaps I can give you some info:
1) I am using 2 tables (different DBs) one that has the...
I know this question may be too general but here goes. I Have an Access 2000 form. When the account # field is completed it will pull data from an exisiting table to automatically complete three other form fields from the record of the person with the account #. After that there are a few drop...
Yes that's it. Sorry if I am not describing it clearly! What would probably happen is that we would enter the client acct# or name and then as you say show the existing information in the form and add it to the new table. The only difference is that there would be a couple of new fields that...
Yes, but the original table with the basic customer data will NEVER be updated by the new table. The original table is only being used to extract the parts of the customer data we already have. The new table will then require say only 3 fields to be filed in instead of all say 6 since the other...
Thanks. It doesn't seem to be doing what I had hoped-maybe I wasn't clear or it can't be done. In my example
the fields in the form were:
First name Last name customer# address phone #
I have some of that data in another table. If I use a combo box, I can type and select say the...
I have been trying for some time to resolve an issue with no luck.Let me show an example.
(existingTABLE):
First name Last name customer# payment received
john smith 1234 yes
mary jones 5678 no
(new table
First name Last name...
Thanks for the feedback! To try to comment of both answers:Yes I can link to the clients table and yes there could (but not likely) be more than one contact.
Rather than link directly to the original clients table, how about I create a "data" table with the client info table and the new contact...
I am creating a database to log client activity. We have most of the details on the clients in another table/DB such as their account #, name etc. The new table has additional details that can only be recorded at client contact plus some fields with data that is the same as the other DB/table...
It wasn't a drag problem, dragging it only made the TB go off to the bottom
The VBS repair script worked! It does reset some of the settings for the selcted visible toolbars.
THANKS
This is a XP Pro PC SP2. Simply put, there are two taskbars at the bottom. The STart button is on the left on the second (upper) taskbar.
The right icons are inside an enlarged "box" covering both taskbars
I have chacked here and elsewhere and can't find a fix or where it is in the registry...
We use O/L 2000 SP3. When event data is loaded into the calendar, after we move to another day, etc, the backround in the filed were the data was entered is gray, We don't want it any color but white. Can this be changed??
Thanks. That seems to work. the only problem is that the form window now stays on top. In this case the button opens a report in print preview but the form menu is on top.
**> a second question- the report that opens in print preview should open maximized but doesn't (it opens in a partial...
I have a form which serves as a menu with buttons. I want to keep it centered at about 3"x 3" but it manages to open to full screen. I can keep it centered, but can not remember how to keep the form window @ the same size when it it opens and closes
?? Thanks
This reminds me of a shortcut issue we are having. Going from an antequated system where DT apps are installed locally and launching data files associates with the local appl.
Now Its a Citrix P.Manager window with apps remotely on a server and ONLY a viewer on local PC. We need the easy access...
I regularly use queries that prompt with a question, like "What is the date". The query runs with the variable and returns records based on what your typed.
That works fine until you want to want to enter more than one variable. Also if you use the criteria box to specify one specific criteria...
