My work around for this is when the receptionist needs to get up and walk around, they change the mode to ring the overhead. Then they can use a feature access code to answer the call from any phone that is near by.
I agree with the statements above. Very flexible. The 3 - modes can be used for many different features. If you are going to use the modes for "out of the typical box" situations, I strongly suggest having a superconsole.
I have my Day mode = receptionist answering, Night 1 = Overhead paging...
