Installing client 8i over 8
U insert the Oracle 8 i CD Universal installer window will come Ther eu click on Installed Products. It will identify the the already installed product sin in the system. U deinstall them and Install Oracle Client 8i There should not be any problem.- urmine

Tomcat and Apache
Tomcat is JSp and Servlets Container.Apache is very efficent in hadling http requests and responses. Yes I agree that it is a cumbersome to keep html pages in htdocs of apache and route to tomcat for business processings. Instead.
