    U insert the Oracle 8 i CD Universal installer window will come Ther eu click on Installed Products. It will identify the the already installed product sin in the system. U deinstall them and Install Oracle Client 8i There should not be any problem.

    try with Oracle OdBC Driver 8.01.75.00 ,MDAC 2.7 and Jet Engine 4 it should work fine
