I'm rebuilding my firewall, what is the command to blow away the active configuration on a NOKIA IPSO 3.8 system? I know if 4.1 it is rm /active/config, but cannot find the 3.8 command.
What conferences/seminars do you attend? Seems like there just isn't enough out there for people at the Networking level besides Cisco's Networkers. What are you planning to attending this year?

I have a script that generates a text email and sends it to users daily. I would rather have this email sent as html or xhtml so that tables and graphs could be displayed in the email instead of text. When I generate the email in html language, the actual language gets sent to the user instead...

I see this on some of my router interfaces:
Input queue: 0/75/2172234/0 (size/max/drops/flushes); Total output drops: 0
I saw I could increase the input hold-queue size above 75, but is this the right thing to do in this situation? Wouldn't QOS be the better solution?
No errors or resets showing up on the interface. Our device is a Cisco and the ISP's is a Juniper. ISP gave me a debug:
Jul 26 12:55:11 bgp_ifachange_group: NOTIFICATION sent to 192.88.115.89 (External AS 3999): code 6 (Cease) subcode 6 (Other Configuration Change), Reason: Interface change...
We have a connection with 2 BGP peers over a DWDM and every 7-10 hours, the BGP peers will reset. We noticed our MTUs did not match at both ends, so we changed it, but still no luck.
Anyone have any ideas where I should look next?
Big debate going on at work right now whether the IT Salary employees that have to take call should be compensated extra. I've seen this debate at every company and the answer is usually no. But I think it depends on what defines "on call"? Available by cell phone for phone support, response...
How are you using Ciscoworks are what cool things are you doing with it that others might not have thought of? Obviously, many people use it as an inventory network system and even to backup and audit changes, but what else are you using it for?
I'm sure as a fellow IT professionals, you have very little time in your life to study and keep up with all the new information we need to know to stay up on technology and certification in this business. I find that I have a lot of commuting time back and forth to work, or if I take a trip on...
I think the problem appears to be the IOS I'm running. I'm only running 12.2(18)SXE and the "ip ssh port xxxx" command was not introduced until 12.3.
But, yes, I believe that command is the right way to go.
I found that if I set Rotary 1 on VTY 3 and Rotary 2 on VTY 4 and change the transport input to:
transport ssh telnet
I can issue this command and it will point me to the VTY line I'm trying to connect on:
telnet routername 3001 or
telnet routername 3002
Where, 3001 is Rotary 1 and 3002 is...
Yes, I've tried to setup the rotary groups and every document I find refers to using the rotary groups for telnet, but not SSH.
I have a feeling it is just in the syntax that I'm entering. I've opened a TAC case with Cisco.
I want to do the following:
1) Allow users to ssh to line vty 3 using an authentication method that queries an external RADIUS server
2) Allow a script to ssh to line vty 4 using local authentication that queries the local database
What is the command I type to ssh to vty 0 3 vs. vty 4? I...
I have a Compaq DL380 server with Windows 2000. Drives 0 - 2 is a RAID 5 24GB drive, but I think this server was upgraded from Windows NT so the C:\ Drive is only like 4 GB and was installed as a basic disk so I cannot upgrade to dynamic disk. The c:\ is running out of room, so here is my...
I added that so now the map is:
map-class frame-relay GHS128K
frame-relay traffic-rate 128000 128000
frame-relay adaptive-shaping becn
frame-relay cir 128000
frame-relay bc 120000
frame-relay be 8000
frame-relay mincir 128000
But still shows "shaping inactive"
GATEWAY#show frame-relay...
I applied traffic-shaping to my serial interface, created a class map, and applied it to the subinterface as follows:
interface Serial0/0
no ip address
encapsulation frame-relay IETF
no ip route-cache
no ip mroute-cache
no fair-queue
frame-relay traffic-shaping
frame-relay lmi-type ansi...
