I have rebooted the Exchange Server and restarted the untangle gatewat elements, but it still persists in delivering to the recipient every 20-30 mins!
Thanks

I took a well deserved day off yesterday! so feel quite refreshed!
IT is always under valued and under budgeted. It takes something like this to wake people up! When a company is not making money then you really have to try and work with what you have and be the firefighter when things go...
Hi all.
Wow what a long haul..
The server went down at 11:45 GMT on Tuesday and although the user files and common drive were up and running again quite quickly I ended up with a double whammy, when reconfiguring the Power Vault so I could remove the spare drives on their own array it took the...

Hi Paul... Regarding the backup before upgrade, I would love to be able to backup the server lol... its like a vicious circle.
Yeah that was another option. all users are in cached mode which has been in the back of my mind for a while. if it really goes Pete Tong then maybe we start a fresh...
I'm just waiting for my suppliers licensing department to get back to me on upgrading from standard to enterprise.
I understand its a straight forward operation to perform the upgrade. does anyone know if the upgrade looks at changing the edb or stm files? Just a bit twitchy if it does anything...

I went to create a mailbox store and i got the error message "This Storage group already contains the maximum number of stores allowed"
Why didn't it throw that error up when I created...

Thanks for your responses. This has been a real mind bender!
I totally agree... My main priority is to make sure that the Exchange data is safe..
If I can run a disk check and block out the bad sectors after moving the edb/stm etc I could choose to image the RAID 0 and move the...
Interestingly I weren't 100% sure whether is was standard or enterprise so I tried to add a second storage group and it allowed me to! I pointed it to a redundant array drive to create its new edb and stm files.
Perhaps this could be the way Forward? We only have around 45 Email users... If I...
No not yet. So Far I have Discovered which single File is laying on the "Disk Error". I have created A virtual environment within the same domain with Exchange however this is not correct. I need to create a Server environment in a different Domain so I can use it as a test restore server.

I have been doing a bit of reading on the STM file and have come across an interesting way of reducing the file by running an offline defrag.
Based on the information throughout this post does anyone know if the defrag process would do more damage than its worth?

Hi technome..
I was not looking for an error in a file!! I was looking for the file that is laying on the bad surface of the drive. Now I am trying to discover if this file can be recovered without the drive falling over and whether it is safe to run the disk tools. If so then I plan to try and...
