I've printed it and had a very brief look at it. It's a very clever puzzle and I'm looking forward to sitting down with it and thrashing it out properly. I'm a bit of a fan of snakes so I'm hoping that will help me out a bit too

Hi All
I work in road safety for a local council and I need to respond to an email received earlier today from a member of the public regarding the speed of vehicles passing through his village. My email contains the sentence:
Is 'thereto' the correct word with which to end this sentence? Or...

I'm guessing that one week a month it would be a good idea to stay out of this van's way...

Just read your piece Maria and was really impressed. I always love it when a short story makes you wish you knew more about its characters and the world of its setting. I'm going to have to go back and read your other work now

Hello All
The IT department at work has asked that we all try and cut down the size of our inboxes in outlook 2003. I would like to archive some of my folders to a network drive, but if I select any more than one email at a time and then 'Save As' from the file menu, the only 'Save as type'...
Opieo - I know there's a rapper called Lil Mama. Maybe that's what it was referring to.

Thank you both for your replies.
It would appear that I have embarrassed myself, since the pasting was occurring correctly and I was overwriting it later on in the code by incorrectly referencing the cell again and pasting the contents of a blank cell into it. (Pasting C2 into B2 when I meant...
Hi All
I need to copy some data from one sheet to another using vba. Two of the fields I need to copy are in date format (dd/mm/yyyy). I am using the following syntax to paste them into another workbook:
Range("H2").Copy Destination:=Workbooks("GroupStats.xls").Sheets("Sheet1").Range("B" & j)...
Maybe they just omitted the decimal place after the 5 [smile]

There were (maybe still are) some mint chocolates sold in the UK with the name 'Mingles'. Their tag-line in the advert was 'You just can't eat a single mingle', making it sound like they were so bad you couldn't even eat one of them.

Hi All
I am using Excel 2003 (SP2).
If a particular cell in my worksheet is blank, then the entire row will be blank and I wish to delete it. I found the following line of code posted by anotherhiggins in a separate thread:
which would quite rightly delete the entire row where a blank cell...
Thanks Geoff, that's exactly what I need. I knew of the existence of named ranges but had never had cause to use one til now. Thanks for providing me with the perfect excuse to learn about them. Star for you sir!

Hello all
I originally posted this in the office forums, but I have been advised that my problem could be solved using vba.

Thank you for your replies. Sadly purchasing Excel 07 is not an option, so I'll post a version of this post in the vba forum. Strange that you should mention that the percentile function returns the #NUM! error for more than 8191 data points, since I've regularly been using it on far more rows...
Hello all
I am using excel 2003 (SP2). I am exporting data from mapping software to excel, where I would like to perform some mathematical functions on the data. Unfortunately there are often more than 65536 rows of data meaning that it cannot all be pasted into excel in one range. For...
Thanks for that Geoff. Tried your suggestion, but still getting zeroes. There must be something else I'm missing. Will have another look and get come back if nothing works!

Hi All
I'm using Excel 2003, SP2.
I have a workbook, in which the names of the days of the week run across the top row, and in the leftmost column the day is broken down into hour long segments such as:
0101-0200
0201-0300
0301-0400
0401-0500
What I would like to be able to do is where the...
