    If your on a Avaya platform software release 1.3 or greater have a look at the new CM-API recorders from Witness, fully integrated with the switch, very flexible and much more cost effective than traditonal recorders. NICE also do one but it requires a CTI connection.

    You can only add a ESCC cabinet to a S8500 Media Server if the cabinet is included in the original upgrade licence file. New cabinets have to be G650.

    s8300 Announcements

    The S8300>g700 has an onboard announcement source which gives 20 mins of recording time at 64kbps and 15 ports access. The announcement source does not require any additional hardware but will require call centre software enabled on the S8300 media server.
