I am doing maintenance on a system using Netscape Communicator 4.73. The system is TCL with Javascript. I would like to change the bgColor when a field on my form is left out or fails an edit but using document.form.field.bgColor causes a javascript error. I found a comment in Doc javaScript...
Karl, That is what I did. I made the javascipt really simple with just an alert. The onClose is not trapped. I think the Netscape guys just didn't allow for this. I am willing to be wrong about that though, if anyone can show me different.<br><br>Lief <br>
Karl, Thanks for the thought but I can find no documentation on the onClose event in JavaScript, nor, I am sad to say, does it work. It does seem reasonable though. I am using Netscape 4.7. <br>I am standing by for further enlightenment.<br><br>TIA<br>Lief
I have an application which uses Netscape on NT and my client has asked for a 'Do you really want to exit' prompt when they click the 'X' in the upper right corner. Is this possible? I have looked through the prefs.js but nothing jumped out at me. <br>The application does use HTML and...
I could not get the 'return false' to work (I expected it to not refresh the calling screen). What I did was change my links to not open a new window on several of the pages. This makes the link color change immediately, maintains the position of the calling page and allows the back and forward...
I was so excited that I asked instead of trying. I changed the # to be #T$w and sure enough the link colors are individual now. The screen does still refresh although I notice that if I use the 'back' button I get the previous position. Do I need to trap that link value and apply logic to skip...
Rycamor; Thank you very much for the help. I could not drag this info out of the books I have. Since the '#' is a fake hyperlink and I have a counter ($w) being incremented for each link, could I append the counter to the '#' and have a unique link? (I am thinking minimum changes here). If it is...
I hope I am in the right place. I have taken over maintenance of a system written with Javascript and TCL to format the HTML. Whenever some new information is to be presented, a new window is opened using a statement like this;<br>
puts "<a href='#'...
I had this problem using Crystal 6 with SQL 7 as the data source. I got the same error. Seagate has a page in their database describing the error and giving a solution but it did not work for me. What did work was doing a compile instead of a distribution. Since you already have distributed and...
Hi Folks, I am new to the forum and this is kind of a cross-post since I asked the same question in the Crystal list. I am trying to invoke Crystal to export an existing report from netscape. Has anyone done this?? Any hints gratefully accepted.
Hi Folks, I'm new to the forum. I am trying to figure out how to call Crystal Reports from a javascript or tcl script, hopefully to automatically export a report. There is a product called ReCrystallize but so far it only works in IE5 for me, not netscape. Any hints gratefully accepted.
