Hi!
We've got an Avaya analog door phone at the front door of our building. It is set to call a "primary" huntgroup which is simply 3 extensions that are in a Collective ring mode. Sometimes these three individuals are either all busy, or away from their desks so the front door phone continues...
Perhaps I wasn't clear enough in my opening couple of sentences. I've been using our 406 for a long time, we've got a new IP500 in another location i've setup that we're having this problem with CCR on. It is not installed on our old system.
Any idea why the alarms are not working right on the...
Hi Everyone!
I have quite a bit of experience with our older IPO406 system, but am still getting used to our new IP500 at a new office location. We've got things working well with our huntgroup, but now our supervisor(s) are interested in using the IP Office Customer Call Reporter dashboard...

Indeed i saw that, how you can pick up and connect to the other person using the conference button. A very cool feature.
So, to add all these users into the "paging group" i have to add them all to a hunt group.... they don't have to be agents? I know we wouldn't have enough agent...
Pretty cool. We're getting a new IP500 V2, but for now i'm poking around in our 406V2 and it looks like its supported too on 54XX series phones.
What is the best way to go about putting together a group of extensions to be paged at once?
Thanks for clearing up the difference between paging and intercom. I don't think we will need to have ALL extensions having the ability to respond back.
Completely understand that people on the phone won't get the page, that's just a limitation that they will need to be aware of.
Where do i...
We're bringing up a new IP Office 500 at a new location. We've absorbed a new company and their old phone system had an "overhead paging" system that went through the ceiling. We don't have the infrastructure in the new office for this exact setup, but a good alternate solution would be to have...
Seems like this should have been a simple thing to do, but maybe it's not possible!
Recently I have allowed permissions to another person on our exchange server to see my task list. This way the can see what things i am working on / have scheduled. I use tasks to schedule due dates for things...
I've got myself a bit turned around here. In the office a user has a normal phone, logs in, and waits for hunt group queue calls to come in as an agent and answers them normally. Let's say he's John Smith.
User: John Smith
User ID in IPO: JSmith
Extension (office): 336
Now this person needs to...
Thanks for the lead. Those CBT videos are quite pricey! I've considered doing the exams separately... indeed its just a lot of material for me to remember all at once.
Hello Cisco folks.
A little background, I took the CCNA exam many years ago (back when it was still 640-801) and failed by about 2 questions. I ended up changing jobs and put getting certified on the back burner. Fast forward about 4 years and I started studying my butt off again to take and...
That was the answer i was looking for. I figured it was a limitation of IPO but wasn't sure if there was some kind of work around available.
We may stop using the dial by name directory as i've heard that some people (given they seem to be somewhat technically challenged) have a hard time with...
...I have it looped back to the beginning of the module but it does not direct the caller there. They will just hear "invalid option, for help press *H"
I agree with qtelcom, it would be awesome if there was a specified invalid option to configure some logic to.
NYSTECH - where would you...
...given the choice to hit 1... if a caller hits any other number on the key pad (2, 3, 4) they are immediately told "invalid option, for help press *H"
How can i setup my call flow to allow callers to at least try again, or failing that get connected to our customer service department?
The...
Indeed, I read that in another post about having only a total of 64 channels available for conferencing. We would run out of PRI channels for people calling in before that became an issue ;)
Thanks for the additional info!
Hi!
We have been using the meet me conference feature in IP Office for quite some time and it works pretty well.
We've run into a situation where two different groups in our organization would like to have meet me conferences for their teams separately.
Is this possible to do?
So far with...

Thanks for the follow up comments, the new domain controller is also a WSUS server so i will explore pushing out the CSE's via that console.
Cheers!
