Hi Chris,
It's intended to take in a list of servers i.e.
/bin/grep server 1 /usr
/bin/grep server 2 /var
/bin/grep server 1 (houston) /tmp
The problem is the "server1 (houston)" seems to be causing it problems
Hi all. I have a newb question about quoting.
I have a script that executes the following:
$grepcmd = "/bin/grep ";
$listserv is a list of servers
$details is the type of OS
The following line calls each:
my $list = `$grepcmd $listserv $details`;
My problem is that a few of the servers...
Hey there. Is there any mminfo report that will give me the occupancy of each client on the NetWorker server?
I can get the totalsize per saveset, but is there anything where I can group this into occupancy? And maybe group just the successes into occupancy?
Hi all. I'm not even sure what to call this thread or what to search for so apologies if the title is misleading.
At one site where I work we have private IP addressing i.e. 10.x.x.x. While connected to the LAN there, I connect to a VCenter by changing my laptop's Primary/Secondary DNS settings...
Ok I've actually changed this around to simplify it for myself.
Can anyone tell me why:
1 - If I print the array @vmnae inside the loop I get
test_clone_001test_clone_002test_clone_003test_clone_004test_clone_005
But if I print it outside the array I get test_clone_005
Ideally I want to...
I have a script at work that checks to see if a VM snapshot exists and will print out the results. I can 'read' these scripts but not write them.
Could someone help with the following?
my $snapshots = $_->snapshot;
It searchs this against a vmname and will output the name of the snapshots...
Hi everyone. Could someone give me a bit of info about Avamar Virtual Edition. I can find plenty of documentation online but can't seem to find my specific questions:
1 - Am I right in saying I can backup a whole ESX host rather than installing it on each individual VM?
2 - When backing up an...
I have a number of EDLs attached to NetWorker which do no have Auto Media Management enabled.
Any other environment I've worked on has had it enabled, could there possibly be a reason for this? Someone mentioned once to me that the EDL's data could be wiped in a certain version. Is this...
Rovinabi, there is a bit of work to be done with Notes.
Could you post your nsrnml_config.txt from the nsr directory. Your client in NetWorker should be pointing to the location of this file.
Hey everyone. I have the NMC installed on my NetWorker server. My environment has started to grow and someone has mentioned that I should install the GST service elsewhere. How do I go about this?
Do I need to uninstall the NMC from the NetWorker server or can I just install an NMC elsewhere...
I've noticed that if I specify the save set /usr then only the files under /usr and not the directories get backed up. Other than specifying each directory, how do I get around this?
Most likely a client initiated backup or else a group you created which writes to no specific pool. If all groups write to specific pools I would imagine it's a client initiated backup.
I agree. It shouldn't be an issue. However, the server initiated backup doesn't work with the return being a probe abandoned and the error message above. A debugged output of the save doesn't give a lot more info other than to say that the job output is null.
Believe me I wish there was more to...
Anyone seen this before? I have a filesystem backup of a client which fails from the server side with
"Warning - the job output is NULL " or "Warning - the ss output is NULL "
Client initiated backups work but server side fail.
This nugget again.
So I am able to backup filesystem data from server to client.
I am able to backup SQL data from client to server through both the command line and the GUI when specifying the virtual server.
However, I cannot perform a server initiated backup. When I kick it off, it looks...
Ok so the physical clusters need to back up the filesystem and the virtual backs up the SQL. I'll give this a go, I still expect the MSSQL to fail though.
