Hello,
is it right that Netwoker will not longer support VADP in the future (since vSphere 6)?
We do the VADP+CBT Backup for 80 Servers with vSphere 5.5 but with vSphere 6 it ist not supported by Networker.
C:\>nsrclone -v -F -b targetpool 000004
Obtaining media database information on server server1
Device location of volume 000004 is unknown. Checking recover storage node of Client host server2.

We use NW 7.6.4
I copied the parameter sequence from the task manager output when I start the Scheduled Cloning GUI task.
Should the parameter sequence not running at CLI too? Networker don't complain about wrong command options.
-e "end time" should be ok
-D 0 I think it is the GUI...
I have started following nsrclone job on CLI:
nsrclone -v -S -D 0 -s BackupServer -J BackupServer -b targetpool -d BackupServer -F -c Client1 -c Client2 -B pool1 -B pool2 -t "Mon Aug 24 10:49:56 1992" -e "Fri Aug 24 10:00:00 2012"
After about 80 hours I stopped the job because nothing was...
Does anybody knows something about a saveset limitation by the NMC GUI Cloning?
If I start a Scheduled Cloning job where I want to clone all Backups of one pool (10 years of Backup Data), the job will not come to an end and nothing will be cloned to tape. The same result if I start nsrclone...
While we do SS Staging from vTapes (EMC DL710) to Tape (STK L700) the staging process hangs on several tapes. If we scan that vTapes we get such as those message:

I have updatet the networker server from 7.4.2 to 7.4.3.
Now the client owner notification does not work. Only the owner notification of the server will be written.
Is it right that NW 7.4 SP2 can not backup data with a retention/browsetime > year 2038 ?
NW crashs when we start the backup.
NW 7.22 could do backups but the retention time was shown as "no date".
EMC/Legato said there will be no patch because it is an Unix OS bug/feature.
We do client backups with a retention/browse policy of 31 years. If the expiration date is longer then 19.01.2038 the date is set to "no date".
Is there a networker patch to fix that "UNIX date bug" ?
We have that bug in networker 7.22 and 7.4.
How can i make a script that can label all Tapes with the type is sdlt and the tape is recyclable.
mminfo -q loacation=STKL700,type=sdlt,volrecycle -r volume
and now ? how can i label the volumes in the list ?
The tapes are labeld before with Legato AlphaStor with type sdlt. Now we dont use AS. The Librarys are connected to NW direct.
The Devices are sdlt320.
If i withdraw/deposit and do inventory the volumen has the same "wrong" type sdlt.
How can i switch the volume type without labeling ?
Is there...
Hello,
we make a mminfo list of ssid und cloneid of a Volume.
With the List we do an nsrstage -f.
When NW wants to stage the SS of the VMS Client there comes a message:
nsrstage: adding save set series which include parent "SSID"
and the staging stops.
If i do nsrstage not with the list...
Hello,
If i do an mminfo of all tapes in the library to query the media type there are diffrent types: dlt, sdlt und sdlt320.
The Devices are SDLT320.
The Networker will mount a Tape with automediamanagment only if it has the type sdlt320.
All recyclable Tapes in Lib are sdlt. So Networker...
