I've discovered the connection isn't actually lost as I can still ping the server it is terminal services that is disconnecting me when someone else in the office connects. When I reconnect it disconnects the other person and so on and so on.
Why would it do this?

I am dialing my home computer via vpn from the office. I need to transfer files from the office to my home computer but I can't map a drive and there is no transfer option. Is this possible?

To map a network printer see Microsoft Article 243552. It explains how to manually map a network printer - although now I have to find a script to do it automatically.

The network printers are set up using an intellinet 3 port print server. The printers themselves don't have network cards but the print server utilities program has ip addresses listed in them but I can't ping them - is there any ohter help you can offer?
