I would like to check if one of my users has the following role privileges...

It's a purge script, why would it depend on what I want to purge ? Isn't it possible to log is as the user in question and get Oracle to call the purge script or would I have to create the script within Oracle itself.

I tried downloding ADSI seperatly but it won't work...

I would like to create more disk space in /tmp.
Can this be achived by creating a swap file ? There is already a swap file in this directory which seems to be taking up a lot of space ?

XP has a system restore option by default. Does windows 2003 have the same utility ?? We recently lost an oracle database which was sitting on a windows2003 box but we have no backup.....Yes I know, should always backup but the damage is done....

Also, does this in turn mean that /etc /bin and other directories would be located on /dev/sda2 ??
Are the disks named in order alphabetically ? ie. "b" in /dev/sdb1 refers to the 2nd disk so /dev/sdc1 would refer to the 3rd disk ?
