...and at least start the ring cycle.
I think I did try #PD602XXXXXXX. it didn't work.
There are 4 special characters allowed in the string... #,*,P,D.
# = Link (F71).
* = Cancel
P = Pause (4 seconds)
D = Recognize Dial Tone (1.4 Seconds).
I cannot find any information on the * command...
...the call.
Tried: #602XXXXXXX - Doesn't work.
Tried: #D602XXXXXXX - Doesn't work
There are only 4 characters that will work in the string... # * P D p d.
The * = Cancel. Why or how that could be used in the string, I don't know as there are no examples.
I listened to the dial-out...
Nortel4Ever wasn't even part of the thread, but yet he came across as an extremely sensitive authoritarian eager to mix it up and admonish people he doesn't even know. I'm a naturally curious person and I always want to know why. I'm sorry if that offends you
I've been a Nortel tech since the...
I'm going to try MICS Centrex Software and see if i can get it to work. I really want to use the link feature instead of a line in and another line out... the Church only has 3 lines.
Thanks all for your input!!!
...is that the key/secret?
So still the question persists... Why won't the Link (F71) command work on the MICS; it works on the phones to transfer a call to a cell number.
"MICS XC 7.1 Installer guide says yes on page 392/Services. F71, F78, F*89, F*9, F804", but F71 dun't work.
Thanks...
...Destination Code to make an extension call forward to a cell.
I got it to work with a Destination Code of 300 and it works using a line in and a line out. Anyone know how to get "Dial Out:" F71 to work?

Greetings!
Norstar MICS 7.1. Client would like to call forward her extension (not line) to her cell.
Familiar with F4 and F84, but neither works.
Need a bump.
Thanks!
Mike

Impossible or not, I've included the picture.
I'm using an inside phone 7316e and I'm calling the AA from Line 3. When Line 1 answers, I dial my extension (314) and my 7316e display reads unassigned.
I thought it was referring to the Attendant being Unassigned, but the Attendant has been...
It is impossible to dial into a company and see text on your display that is related to the phone system your calling.
The only thing you should see on the display is the # that you dialed.
How exactly are you calling into AA?
Using your mobile phone, dial into your main #, wait for AA and...
Yes all 3 lines are in Pool A... all have Supervision. And I have programmed "Outbound Transfer" (digit 7).
I call into the AA and enter my extension and I immediately get "Unassigned" in my display for 6 seconds, then the display reads "Line 3". See pic.
I've been installing and programming...
Greetings!
I have setup "Outbound Transfer" in my mailbox, but I just can't get it to work.
Turned on in COS.
Line Pool Assigned.
Turned on in mailbox.
Telephone number programmed.
When I call in to the tree and enter my mailbox, the display says Unassigned?
Doesn't seem like I missed...
Greetings!
I have an MICS (7.1) with one caller ID card. The caller ID worked ok with their last system, but I'm getting weird characters.
[V... >[V... 480 239 4724... H329... unknown reason... Line 001.
Is this indicative of the card going bad? Are there versions involved?
All my settings...
Greetings! Norstar Call Pilot 150. Where is the file folder for all the vbk audio files and how to upload the vbk files once they have been converted from wav or mp3? And how to access it. It's hooked up to the network but I am unable to find any file folders.
Any help would be greatly...
Sorry... The MICS I had was in-stock with v7.1, but I was having trouble with another install, so I swapped the software with the older install, which was DR4. This was a fresh install, but I forgot that the MICS had the older software. The trick I learned saved the day and I'm up and running on...
Thanks all for writing.
I've been doing this since 1985 and I just learned a new trick. Do a STARTUP + PASSWORD and when you get to applying template, you can do this one thing and you're flying! Now I'm up and running where I want to be... with XC too. Not worried about default programming as...
