Thanks to both repliers. I tried to open it in Adobe Photo Deluxe, but it wouldn't open either (something about a color line..). I took it and got it rescanned at a printer's office. I'll see if that works (it was saved both as a TIF and a JPEG.

Our scanner only saves to .tif and .pdf formats. I am trying to insert a Tif file into a WORD doc. I am using INSERT PICTURE FROM FILE and then I pick it and it tells me "An error has occurred while inserting this file" Any suggestions? Thank you

Thank you cmmrfrds! It works. The totals for the Incurred fields are coming in with 6 decimals. I've changed the properties for the field to 0 decimals, but am still getting the same result. Can I use format again like you did to round it to an integer? I check the Help system before posting...

We use Outlook and NT Mail. My emails with .pdf and .doc attachments can't be opened by the recipients. The emails with the Word Documents show attachments with a .dat extension. Does anyone know why this is not working?

Thanks to both replies. I'm reluctant to play with the registry, so I used msconfig. There were many in there I hardly ever use. Some I don't even know what they are. Is it important to launch Office automatically, or can I open each app as I need it?
