...2003 or earlier, I prefer using SumProduct because it's very easy to follow the logic and add new criteria:
=SUMPRODUCT( ($B$1:$B$500="11_22") * ($L$1:$L$500=303) * ($M$1:$M$500>=1) * ($M$1:$M$500) )
Again, you'll add two formulas together for the second criteria

The criteria for your Conditional Format will be a formula:
<=today() + 7
(The Now function includes the time. Today just returns today's date)

Huh?
How [/i]do[/i] you expect to do it if not with any programming system and not with keystrokes?
Do you mean you want to create a dynamic link to the other cell? What results would you expect to see in cell A3 on Sheet 1: 3 or 7?

It sounds to me like you're describing Aero Snap, which is a feature of Windows 7, not Office.
This page should walk you through disabling it.

I think we talked about this a long time ago, KJV.
FYI: Double clicking the Office Button will close the application, regardless of how many workbooks you have open. I know it's not the red X, but it works out of the box.

...referring to soldiers as "troops" seems like a way to make it feel less like we're putting humans in danger.
Now, instead of bombing the living $*/^ out of the place, we have "Kinetic Military Action".
But, to be fair, I haven't seen it used in context. The explanation CC gave earlier does...
Not without a macro.
But, as long as the selection isn't too complex (meaning made up of too many separated pieces), you can just copy and paste. Excel will, by default, only copy the visible cells.

The "etc." leads me to suspect that there are several options in the dropdown.
What you want isn't a series of nested IFs (which is limited to only 7 nested statements in XL 2003 anyway), but rather a VLookup.
Search Excel's help file for "VLookup". Let us know if you need assistance...
Without any VBA:
In Excel (not Access),
Go to Data > Get External Data > Access
Browse to find the file
Select the Table you're after
I've brought in several few hundred thousand records in one shot.

Sorry about the delay - I got sidetracked. These silly people at work expect me to, you know, work. The nerve of some people. [wink]
I'd probably just use a Dynamic Named Range.
Try this (If you're in Excel 2003 or before, your menu paths will differ):
Select Range C2

BUT you don't need a macro for this.
I'll write up some thoughts and post back in a few minutes.

[tab]=SumProduct( --($A$1:$A$1000 = "ABG") * --($F$1:$F$1000 = "Housing") )
That will count how many times both columns A and F meet your criteria. To instead sum a different column, you...
I never used that menu item in earlier versions, but maybe this is what you're looking for?
Go to the Office Button > Prepare > Properties
That allows you to see the location of the file (at the right) as well as edit various properties such as Author.

You don't specify what the problem is if the date difference is greater than 2 days - what are you seeing that you don't expect to see??
First, why would you "take out the date"? Aren't you trying to figure how many total hours have passed?

I recently bought two 2TB internal HDDs to replace a couple of aging 500GB drives. It's hard to believe that what I'm trying to do is uncommon, but nearly all of the results I find in Google deal with trying to add the an existing non-RAIDed boot drive into a RAID without wiping the boot drive...
Pivot Tables are a great way to summarize the data, but for placing the totals on the same sheet as in your example, SumIf is the formula you want.
Side note (and the reason I'm bothering to post):
Place your totals at the TOP of the data, not the bottom. And Freeze Panes so that the column...
