Cable Modem and a Cisco 2610
your wic cards for cisco's are generally for WAN...ie. T1 which is pinned differently than cat5 standard (568A or 568B)...WAN interface for WIC dsu/csu is pinned 1,2,4,5 (rj48c)..your ethernet port is pinned 1,2,3,6..therefore, from the cable modem "out" (rj45) to cisco "in"... -

touchtonetommy... have had the Central office(5ess) watch lines, while laptop on channelbank monitoring and to no avail, we have been unable to duplicate while on site..it always happens when technicians are not around..but you are right about the auto-attendant holding the line open and timing...- T1Tech

i have a customer who has a merlin legend...intermittently the switch board will ring and when answered, the receptionist hears a piercing noise and then the "off hook" message from the CO stating "if you would like to make a call, please hang up and try your call again" is...- T1Tech
