So, this is what I ended up having to do. First, program the button using the menu or *40 so that the button was set for primary cover. Then press the button and then *36 to change it over to delay coverage. Interesting how it won't let me just directly programming it for delayed coverage.
Ok. So setting the coverage for this config as stated is from the covering phone. Got that. But the folks that were already covering the operator extension are configured with a primary coverage "-D" and the new one "-I". The new covering extension rings immediately (what I gather is an obvious...
Thanks T3. I guess I had in the past used the operator phone to configure the other extension. I knew it was simple but was thinking it was through the "main" system like group calling and not just an option on the phone that the user could access. I guess it is because if they knew they could...
but there was something I did either from the operator phone itself or from WinSPM that configured this cover option. At least I thought that is what I did. Are you saying that instead of programming on the system, I just go to the extensions that I want to cover this line and set them...
MerlinMan. I printed this form my system setup. The operator phone is the one I am dealing with. I have as noted, 4 extensions that cover for this phone when out. I don't see this option available to set when in WinSPM. Is this something I have to do from the operator phone? I am going to double...
Ok, first forgive me for likely using the improper wording. If I remembered it, then I likely could find what I am looking for LOL. In the 6 years I have been in my current position, I have had to do this once and that 5 years ago... Anyway, our "operator" of course is the main line for the...
I have had a request to have a calling group forwarded to an outside line. It comes in as a DID assigned to the calling group. Is there a way to have the calling group forwarded or should I rather reassign the DID to a standard desk phone extension and then have the deskphone extension forward...
tried default for nulls, nulls excepted, and have a bit bucket for what falls out of range. I ended up just creating a bunch of running totals and summarized at the group 1 level then tossed the cross-tab. Stupid thing has issues with calculations from time to time and unless someone found a...
I am using 2008. The first step is I have to define the group of accounts under a Master account by using left({ACCTNUM},6) which puts all '' 'C' and 'M' account numbers under the first 6 digits. 6 digits only is a parts account, 'C' added to the end is a container account, and 'M' added is a...
Ok, I have a Crystal Report with a Cross Tab in the report footer. When I place the running total in the details to compare against the cross tab results and check the running totals are working correctly, I get 19 and 39 for Emergency which are the numbers of distinct orders and the number of...
I know this is an old post but I have an old system and the question is related to it. I had this problem where the drive failed on the Merlin Messaging board. Replaced the board and we are running now. I went to plug in an RJ45 cable to the RS232 port and next thing I know is I get a call from...
I can into my current position of which includes overseeing an Avaya Merlin Magix / Legend unit (they acquired in 2005) and need to retire it. Our corporate office put in a standard of the Avaya CM S8300d, a G430 gateway, all the extras so that Taske can communicate with it, and ability to...
Temporarily adding the user to the Primary Cover. But now it rings with the operator. The others do not. They have Primary Cover 5200 -D (where 5200 is the ext). Hers though has -I. Can't find any documents via web search or search on Avaya's site for this difference. Help?
First: not a phone guy. Have a Merlin Magix/Legend Hybrid/PBX. Single office setup. Took over this site 2 years ago. Now they are saying the operator hasn't been working from the beginning. Apparently they want it to "roll" through instead of call everyone in the coverage list at the same time...
