    error on lppchk -c

    Hi, I tried the last suggestion by nwardez and it fixed the problem. I did the following: 1. lppchk -v and it had no error. 2. I then did lppchk -cu and it completed without error. 3. Now lppchk -c runs without error. Many thanks to nwardez and everyone who gave their assistance.

    Hi, I tried that command(lslpp -w) and it returned with filesets "ALL". What does it mean? Thanks

    I tried to reinstall bos.rte fileset and it did not make any difference. Please advise what filesets do I need to reinstall. The files with checksum errors are: /usr/sbin/chcons /usr/sbin/chdev /usr/sbin/mkdev /usr/sbin/rmdev /usr/sbin/watch /opt /tftpboot Thanks.

    I am doing an upgrade from aix 4.3.3. to 5.1L and one of the steps suggested is to run lppchk -c and make sure it runs without any error. I did exactly that and I got a few errors. A couple of them are: lppchk: 0504-212 the checksum for file /usr/sbin/mkdev is 13356, expected value is 12103...
