It sounds like the digital phone ext. has the twinning feature, Dynamic Extension Enabled (depending on the version it might be named Personal Call Routing)
You can open the database and look in the USER Account folder for that digital ext. See if the DEE flag is ON. Then go to the tab within...
If you do not designate a 2nd or Last System Forwarding point for the phantom, it will go back to the ext that initially transferred it. Helpful if multiple users park to that extension.
Best practice is to assign Node 1 with P6001 and each Node added there after in sequence (using the drop down to select the P6XXX.
It sounds like the assignments do not match each other between the systems.
Node 2 has to be assigned the P6XXX that you program in Node 1 and vis-a-versa
