thanks i installed the nfs server on windows and was able to connect with no problem at all from the sco box.
by chance does anyone know how i can run the filesystem utility from the command line?
for example to run the software install gui from the command line i type 'custom'

great. i got nfs started but that man page is weak on explaining how to connect to a location using nfs.
what is the nfs client? how do i use it?
the man page could have at least given me an example like
./nfsclient -x 192.168.1.1 -u <usrname> -p <pass>
what do i do from here?
those are the binaries i found and tried.
each one is difference. each one installs samba in a different location.
samba should be in /usr/local/samba right?
but now its in like ocr/k/samba/2.2.6/lib/samba/bin

and if i install a different binary it will install into a different location...
is it possible to mount an FTP location on open server?
or do i need to install something like samba?
