I have a pseudo-preloader: my index.html page incorporates an easy flash detector, and a jerry-rigged redirect, but that's it. I'll investigate using a preloader (groan).
But my question still stands: why would the browser skip over the stop action?

I've recently completed a Flash movie on my website (www.vicariouslyyours.com), and it works fine on my browser (IE5 on a Mac), but I've heard from two IE5 users on PC's that, when they use the Refresh button on their browsers, the movie reloads okay but for some reason it skips the first frame...
I have a layer of text that is at the bottom of the pile, so to speak, but when I play the movie, the text floats on top of all the other layers. Looks less than good. Any ideas on 1)why the layer refuses to stay on the bottom, and 2)what I can do to correct the problem?
