    hey thanks got it working just have to connect a sata controller card to see if it recognizes it so i can put the other 11 drives on it. What about Slax Server Edtion does it need minimal setup to configure. All i want is to be able to share my movie collection with my other windows pc's...

    thanks its just that i am trying knoppix live dvd and somehow i can see my windows shares in linux but can't see my linux share in windows need a distro that installs samba and configures it with minimal effort don't know how to restart LISa.

    is there a way that i could boot linux from a usb drive and just use it to show my 12 hard drives on the windows network so that i can access it from within windows. I'm new to linux but have been using a program called NASlite+ and it works great just can only use 4 drives. Thanks
