perfect! Thanks to both of you! Now all I need is to be able to speed myself up to a measurable fraction of the speed of light and get everythign done within the time frame i have.... The only limitiation we have are those we are willing to accept.
i tried it and can't seem to get it to trim properly. where and how would you insert this?
the current code is:
<%
username = Request.ServerVariables("AUTH_USER")
extra =Request.ServerVariables("HTTP_HOST")
%>
and later into the body of the doc to display:
<td...
The authmethod script i'm using works perfectly...
<%authmethod = Request.ServerVariable ("AUTH_TYPE")
username= Request.ServerVariable ("AUTH_USER")%
The return (thanks to our Cisco router and Pix i believe) comes out as "domain logged in through/username"...
We've got all that and it works. The problem is that once in all users are tagged as anonymous instead of having user names retained. I'd hate to have a double log-in, but it looks like we'd have to - one to get in and another to establish the session to dynamically generate the content...
The delema is that we have IAS ready to do full AAA but the person who knows Pix knows so little windows that I (knowing windows) have to tell him what is needed to get Pix to do it's full AAA. That would make our extranet nice and secure.. But how?
If this has already been covered, please...
