Thanks Bob.
It appears that there is a bit of crossover between the two. A book or two a few late nights, and I should be up to speed.
Any other input out there?

"Learning on the Fly"
Hey everyone. have been out of the loop for about a year and a half, so I need to play catch up on a few topics. The following might sound like a dumb question but here goes:
Is the SQL (transact sql?) used in Access a subset or smaller (mini)version of SQL server? Trying to get a...
Hey Everyone,
Access 2000 DB.
-Input form based on table with info about a specific project. Various date fields, specifically one "ProjectedHardwareShipDate", other date fields calculate based on this date.
-Subform based on query from same table that lists any projects related...
Junior,
Good ideas.
All users have full access to the directory. Everyone access's the DB through shortcuts I have set up. These shortcuts point at the front-end which resides on the network. I have heard about individual copies on each PC, but isn't that a maintenance nightmare? We...
I have determined that the screen saver does cause this scenario. NT screensaver locks the application. I do have a timer on the database, I am testing different time periods of inactivity. One problem is that our company security policy requires screensavers be set at 5 minutes of...
Thanks for the idea. But, database is in shared mode. This problem only began AFTER converting to Access 2000.
Definetely has something to do with NT or Idle time, or workstation security.
Thanks again!
Any other ideas? RoCoPe

I have been managing an Access 97 database on NT for about four years. Database is split, back-end tables, front-end forms, queries, reports, code. Database is used by about 50 people on the network. I do not use Access security, instead, I...
NICE!!!....
That's along the lines of what I had figured it would take. I can take that and make the necessary changes.
Thanks for your help!!! RoCoPe

Thanks for the link, but it refers to forms. What I need specifically, is a report that displays in calendar format. Information regarding scheduling is input via a "Projects" form, most users view this information in a traditional column report layout, sorted by due date.
But of...
Did you ever get an answer to this question? I am trying exactly the same thing, and I cannot find a way of doing it. I assume it would take a considerable amout of code within the report to place the info on the appropriate date within the calendar.
