I installed IIS a while before I installed the .NET framework. I even upgraded it to the Service Pack 2 that just came out and still nothing. The server is Windows 2000 Server running IIS 5.0 with the latest version of the 1.0 framework (SP2).
I made the change you suggest, but now I am unable to do anything locally as well. It shows the HTML content of any page but does not show any ASP.NET components like lables or textboxes.
I don't know what to do. Half the time I just get a blank page.

I installed the .NET framework on my server and I cannot seem to run any .net files (.aspx for example) remotely. I can see the webpages locally, however, everytime I open it in a browser outside of the server, I receive the following message:
Server Error in '/' Application...
