Well, the problem has been solved.
Part of the problem was the Nimda virus hiding on the system.
Also, we uninstalled and reinstalled Service Pack 3 and did the same for Office 2000. System is running beautifully now!

Did you give yourself Administrator rights or do you sign into the computer as the Administrator account?
If the Administrator account is seperate from your sign on then it is very simple to change your password. Do the following:
