New Logitech Trackball pointer movement problem

Hi All, Interesting resurgence of this thread. My solution to the jumpy trackball was to plug it into a different usb port. Between my monitors, keyboard and computer I have ten. I just found one that allowed the cursor motion to behave the way it should and left it there. No problems...

VBA Application running in ACAD-2010 problem...?

I recently installed ACAD 2010 after using 2009 for a year. One homemade application, written in VB6 has worked perfectly in ACAD2009, but in ACAD2010 I get an error message which I don't know what to do with. The error message is "AutoCAD main window is invisible". Upon debug, the line of...

New Logitech Trackball pointer movement problem

Hi Everyone, I just purchased a new Logitech Trackman Wheel pointing device. Installed driver from disc. Restarted. Set pointer movement to suit. The pointer moves in a pixilated, stairstep fasion; really jerky and difficult to place cursor where I need it. I use AutoCAD and this imprecise...

    Pointer behavior changed...why? Fix?

Well, dayummm. I look for a high-tech solution and Occam's razor slices right to the core of the problem. I changed out my trackball for a basic mouse and the problem I described is gone. Time to invest in a new trackball (much better for me for ergo reasons); I've been using this one for...

    Pointer behavior changed...why? Fix?

Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated. My pointer (USB Trackman Wheel - Logitech) behavior changed suddenly. I don't know why or how to change it back. OS is XP Pro. 1) I cannot move windows by picking the title bar at the top. If I try to pick the title bar the window resizes...

    3GB Switch setting issue

That's good stuff to know. Thank you. Autodesk is actually recommending the /3GB switch, so I'm asumming that their products can use the 3GB. And I'm keeping track of performance. If it is adversely affected, I'll return to the 2GB boot. If it seems to improve performance I'll recommend...

    3GB Switch setting issue

Wonderful. It booted up just fine with rdisk(0). Now to see if the additional GB of memory allocated to applications makes a noticeable difference. I'm running CAD applications with large file sizes and I'm hoping to see less bogging down. Thanks everyone for the tips. Erik

    3GB Switch setting issue

I have two lines in the boot.ini One has rdisk(0) and the other has rdisk(1). I don't know what that means. Maybe it specifies which hard disk the OS is on??? I'll try the /3GB switch with rdisk(0) and see what happens. Thank you for pointing that out. Erik

    3GB Switch setting issue

Greetings, I'm running Win XP Pro and I'm trying to properly set the /3GB switch in the boot.ini file. Original boot.ini: multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /noexecute=optin /fastdetect Added this line...

    Date value error...why?

Thanks everyone for replies. I have to do some digging in order to provide answers to questions. 1) Control, field or bound control. Data type. I don't know. I'll try to figure that out. As I said, I'm working with code written by someone who is no longer here and my own experience with...

    Date value error...why?

Hi. I'm new at this stuff, so please go easy. I'm working with Access code created by a worker who left our company. I've narrowed down the problem. This line of code is the problem: Me.Change_approved_date = Now() Values when I hover over are as follows: Me.Change_approved_date = Null and...
