I built an EXE that scans a portion of a large database based on start/stop points entered by the user. So you can run one EXE to scan A - M and another instance of the same EXE to scan N - Z.
I tried setting the form captions to "Scan_A" and "Scan_N" (so they would have different names)...
No, not all printers have trouble printing the pdf's. They come out fine on our HP 4050 and Lexmark x4720.
I removed reader 7.0 from the accountant's PC and re-installed 6.01, and all is well again with her Epson. Thanks!
Although this is not an Acrobat developer question, can anyone shed some light on this critical problem -- there is very little and sketchy info out there, although it should be affecting a lot more people...
Environment:
Adobe Reader 7.0 with updates 1, 2 and 3
Win XP Pro, SP2
Outlook 2000...
Uninstalling Yahoo fixes the sign-on at AmSouth, but not SunTrust. So it's also one of the others in the add-ons list, and I have a call into Yahoo. Which party is going against generally accepted principals here, the add-ons or the banks?
We recently set up a new XP Pro SP2 system, and we lost the ability to sign on to 2 out of 4 of our on-line banking sites. The banks say to Disable Browser Extensions, and this works, but isn't there a more specific remedy? The accountant wants her toolbars!
KB article 870700 says to go...
The "File -- Send To -- Mail Recipient" items in both Excel and Word 2000 are not seeing the contacts listed in Outlook 2000. Also, spell checking is not functioning in the email being created this way.
This is happening on a new PC running XP Professional SP2. This worked fine on the old PC...
We lease space in a building with no a/c on Sunday. So the portable in the server room is on it's own that day.
Thank you all for your replies. I guess I'm hearing that hibernation is too risky. What temperature level would give YOU cause for alarm?
Thanks --
Going with hibernation, what is considered "period of inactivity" for a server to go into/come out of hibernation? If a workstation requests documents on a hibernating server, would that wake it? Or is mouse/keyboard activity (or a scheduled job) required? I can't find any details...
It's a 7500 BTU venting into ceiling space. The room is 5' x 12' and the door is supposedly closed all the time. But there is a west window (tinted and covered by closed mini-blinds). It's freezing in there all week (low 60's) but the temperature logger shows mid-80's on Sunday afternoon...
Will hibernate or standby mode protect a server from extreme high temperatures (85-90 degrees F)? Our Florida company moved to a building with NO a/c on Sundays, and even with a portable A/C unit running 24/7 in the server room it still hits mid 80's on Sunday afternoon (and it's only May!)...
A particular website posts forms for subscribers to view, by Form ID.
Given a set of FormID's, I'd like automate the process of bringing up
each form in a browser and saving the HTML to a file (this is not
prohibited in the site's Terms of Use and the subscription fee is hefty).
Can someone...

I'm trying to use an exported DLL function to pass in a date (as a long) and pass back a factor from an ACCESS table for that date.
** How do I convert the long I pass in (20030612) to the string "6/12/2003" ??
** I only found a define that extracts ADO recordset fields as variants...
Has anyone seen a table row count property go to 0? (Enterprise manager, right-click on a table, and choose properties).
It is some kind of damage that occurs, causing queries to ignore indexes and use table scans. We haven't found any information on this - let alone how to repair it!
