It's an intranet page, written in coldfusion, with a simple mailto in it, this is where i've got the problem. The clients are internet based using asp.
Is there a simple way of doing this in html? i've tried several ways to hide the ? but it still cuts off...
i am trying to create an email through a web page (IE4)sends a link which includes a Parameter via URL. unfortunately it cuts the parameter off the hyperlink in outlook..
e.g.
mailto.......http://Server/file.asp?ID=#variable#
all i get in the email is
mailto.......http://server/file.asp
the ID...

The reason i wanted the username and machine name was because i'm working on a questionaire to find out what users want what software before an overhaul and i didn't want users to have to enter there own, It's just for information really, makes my life a little easier :) ...
